Rufus Version 3.3.1400

Rufus is a freeware that can be used to create a Bootable USB / flash disk, this is useful if you want to make installation media from USB (Windows, Linux, etc.).

The use of a bootable USB flash drive (flashdisk, memory stick and others) will be very beneficial for a computer technician or laptop owner, especially a netbook or notebook that does not have a CD / DVD drive. Besides being faster in the installation process than using CD / DVD media, using USB makes it easier for us to update the BIOS, recover passwords, check and analyze an operating system.

The Windows Operating System supported by Rufus is Windows XP (SP2 or higher), Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Rufus also supports Linux such as Arch Linux, Hiren's Boot CD, Parted Magic, Knoppix, Kubuntu, OpenSUSE, CentOS, Fedora and various other distributions.

How to use it is very easy. After downloading, it can be run directly (portable). Select the USB drive, look for the ISO location and then press the start button to start the transfer process. Don't forget to backup the contents of the flashdisk because Rufus will automatically format the flashdisk you are using. This utility also has the FreeDOS option, so you can use it to boot your computer or laptop in DOS mode. Very useful and makes it easy for you to do a BIOS upgrade process that requires the DOS command prompt.
